P4/5GH January News

Happy New Year to you all. P4/5GH are having another very busy term. We are enjoying our topic which is a comparison between Scotland and Japan. We created some wonderful Haiku poems. Our cherry blossom trees are amazing (Sakura) and we have lots of super Art work to look forward to! On Thursday 2nd February we will be visiting Yo Sushi. We will be making and tasting Japanese food. We will post some photographs after the trip. The Primary 5 children are looking forward to their Scottish Opera experience. This is an event not to be missed! We are now working hard to learn three songs for our Scottish Opera performance next month – “Beware”, “The Scary Storm” and “The Chase”.  Song lyrics will be sent home as part of homework this week and children can use the link below to practise at home. http://www.scottishoperalearning.org.uk/the-tale-o-tam-o-shanter/#lets-go. The Primary 4 children will soon have song words to practise for the Easter Show and we look forward to seeing you all there.

Here are a few examples of our Haiku poems (5-7-5 syllables in three lines)
