Our term 3 is nearly coming to an end and how quickly it went by! Here are the highlights of what we have been learning about.
Our topic this last few weeks has been France. We have looked at location, landmarks, artists, schools and transport. The children have enjoyed exploring a different country and learning about their culture and customs.
We had a technology challenge where teams had to create the Eiffel Tower out of newspaper and tape only! Here’s the results…
It wasn’t all about the finished efforts, it was about how well our budding engineers worked as part of a team. Well done to everyone!
This term has also seen Fairtrade Fortnight and our Rights Respecting schools reaccreditation. We have learned about a fair price for goods and how important it is that all children’s rights are met. There was also World Book Day. I hope you have spent your book tokens well.
This last few weeks before the end of term will see our Primary 3s performing in our Easter show called “Springtime in Paris”. They have worked so hard and I’m sure the show will be a great success! The Primary 2s will be doing some music appreciation of their own. There was also talk of a band so watch this space!
It was nice to see all parents last week at parents evening. I wish you all a lovely Easter holiday when it comes.
