Eco Week – Day Two

We were very lucky to have been visited by Julia Black from Marine Scotland today who spoke to pupils on a variety of topics including beach litter, micro beads and plastic. She was also the creator of our  lunchtime, science on the spot session. Pupils were able to take part in a practical activity where they pretended to extract bacteria and also used pipettes. We were very lucky to be able to do this outside in the sunshine.

Quote of the day

“Once I have had my turn I am going to play scientists with my friends.”

The classes were also busy again  making sure that there was no litter in the playground. Thanks to Primary one who did a very good job today. Primary two also launched their own recycling centre in the classroom.
