We are so independent in Primary 1 now. When we arrive in the morning we have to get ourselves ready for the day, order our lunches and then as we wait for everyone to be ready we do our ‘Busy Jobs’. These can be at our own tables or at a special Busy Table.
Our busy jobs are designed to help us with a variety of things for our development and learning. They may help us with our fine motor skills or they may be a revision of sounds we have learnt in phonics.
The jobs could also be about maths, so practicing addition or number bonds to 10 or creating our own patterns.
Our jobs are supposed to be fun and interactive. We have a different job to go to everyday. We do the jobs in the morning but also if we finish a task and need to keep busy whilst we wait for the teacher.
