I hope you all had a lovely Easter break. It is hard to believe that we are nearly half way through term 4. This year has flown by so quickly!
Since the beginning of term, we have been extremely busy learning all about Scottish culture, namely, the NuArt festival. This is a fantastic initiative that has come to Aberdeen and we have been fortunate enough to take the NuArt trail. P5W had a great time participating in the guided tour!
Excitedly, we all got on the bus and headed for the Green. From there, we were met by our tour guide who began to take us around some of the old and new exhibitions that were on show. The children loved looking at the art and had lots of questions to ask at the end. They had a ball and really enjoyed the whole experience.
On Thursday, we were lucky enough to get another afternoon out in the community. P5W went to the Hutton Institute to do some pond dipping. This was another fun filled few hours, where the children got to learn about pond life and work together to see what they could find in the pond.
As you can see, we have had a really busy few weeks to start of the final term of the year! We have been so lucky to get out and about, enjoying the more summery weather. I just wanted to send a huge thank you to all the helpers and volunteers that pitched in to help with the trips, these fantastic opportunities wouldn’t happen without you all.
