We have busy learning about Scotland in Primary 7B. We began our topic with a Burns Supper which the pupils planned and organised. We did this with the nursery children and had a lovely day filled with songs, dancing and haggis!
We looked at where in Scotland our foods come from using maps. We researched some Scottish festivals and even had a go at translating some Burns poems. Amazingly, we wrote our own comic strip stories having read The Adventures of Tin Tin and Oor Wullie in Scots. We looked at cities, monuments, features and populations.
The most epic part of our project was taking part in the Scottish Opera where we portrayed peasants in The Emperor’s Incredible Army. We were all effective contributors and the day was a huge success!
